By July, authorities plan to vaccinate more than 11.5% of the population of Uzbekistan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A vaccination campaign against coronavirus has started in Uzbekistan today - vaccination centers opened in Tashkent, Nukus and all regional centers at 8:00.

Today, in an interview with the Uzbekistan 24 TV channel, the head of the Ministry of Health, Abdukhakim Khadzhibaev, shared his plans for the future: in April-June, about 4 million people should be vaccinated against COVID-19, that is, more than 11.5% of the population.

At the first stage in Uzbekistan, the Chinese-Uzbek drug ZF-UZ-VAC 2001 and from the company AstraZeneca is used for vaccination. In addition, deliveries of Sputnik V are expected.
