Business of Netherlands is interested in agricultural sector of Uzbekistan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- About 50 representatives from over 30 companies from the Netherlands will take part in the 13th international agricultural exhibition Agro World Uzbekistan 2018, which will be held in mid-March 2018 in Tashkent. Many of them intend to present their stands, the press service of the Uzbek Foreign Ministry said.

According to the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Belgium and the Netherlands in Uzbekistan, most of the companies involved in the fruit and vegetable sector, including greenhouses and potato production.

The other part of the participating companies are engaged in livestock production, in particular, production of dairy products and poultry.

The agrarian sector is a priority area of the Uzbek-Dutch cooperation. The Netherlands in cooperation with state structures of Uzbekistan, research institutions, private sector and with the support of international financial institutions can make a significant contribution to further development of fruit and vegetable and livestock sectors of the country.
