Business circles of Uzbekistan and France hold business forum

The delegation includes representatives of 20 French companies, working in aviation, banking, defense and security, environment, infrastructure, healthcare, telecommunication and transport.

Representatives of ministries and departments, companies and firms of two states, responsible for foreign economic relations, trade investments, banking sphere, oil and gas, healthcare, pharmaceuticals and other areas attended the event.

At the event, the delegation of France received information on priority directions of attracting investments into economy of Uzbekistan, potential of fuel-energy complex, transport and communication, pharmaceuticals, privatization, ICT, opportunities and industrial zones Navoi, Jizzakh and Angren.

The delegation also presented realization of the projects in such areas as machinery, automobile, ecology, chemistry and petrochemical, electrotechnical, pharmaceutical and foods industries.

On the same day, the cooperation exchange with participations of business circles of Uzbekistan and France was held. The sides considered implementation of the joint projects.

It is worth to mention that trade turnover between Uzbekistan and France made up US$287.5 million in 2014. The figure rose by 7.1% in the figure in the first half of 2015.

There are 14 joint ventures in Uzbekistan with French investors, while 10 French companies accredited their offices in the country.
