Bureau of Compulsory Enforcement created in Uzbekistan
President of Uzbekistan signed a decree “On measures on further strengthening payment discipline in the sphere of supply and consumption of electric power and natural gas, as well as radically improving system of enforcement proceedings”.
The new bureau will be responsible for completeness and timeliness of payments for energy resources, detection, suppression and prevention of thefts, illegal connections to electric and gas distribution networks, and ensuring unconditional execution of judicial acts.
Uzbek leader abolished the Judicial Department and reduced the staff of electricians for work with consumers of Uzbekenergo and controllers for accounting and sales of natural gas of Uztransgaz
In particular, Uzbekenergo will cut 6 562 employees and Uztransgaz will fire 4 255 employees.
Forced enforcement of judicial acts and acts of other bodies is entrusted to state executors, the implementation of full and timely collection of payments for supplied energy resources - to state inspectors of the Bureau of Forced Execution.
Uzbekenergo and Uztransgaz will retain tasks and functions to provide consumers with energy resources in accordance with the concluded contracts and maintenance of electricity and gas distribution networks.
