British envoy wraps up his mission in Uzbekistan

According to the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan, George Edgar is completing his diplomatic mission in Uzbekistan.

The statement of the Uzbek ministry said that during the talks, it was noted that the envoy carried out successful activity in three years and the Uzbek side expressed gratitude to diplomat for his contribution to development of the Uzbek-British relations in political, trade-economic, cultural-humanitarian and other spheres.

In his turn, the Ambassador expressed gratitude for support and created conditions for his successful work in Uzbekistan.

As reported earlier, Christopher Allan has been appointed Her Majesty’s Ambassador to the Republic of Uzbekistan. Mr Allan will take up his appointment during autumn 2015.
