BOMCA holds NSG meeting in Uzbekistan
The purpose of the NSG meeting was to discuss the implementation aspects of BOMCA Programme, such as progress achieved, lessons learnt, and modalities of the future activities. The meeting is important not only in terms of discussing plans for the rest of the year, but also as a foundation for further cooperation and a forum for presentation of achievements, evaluation of results and valuable feedback from national partners.
In the first half of 2016, about 35 Uzbek beneficiaries participate in six national and regional events of BOMCA. It is expected that Uzbek officials will also attend 12 events, which will be held till the end of 2016.
NSG was established in each of five Central Asia states. NSG holds regular meetings and serves as important coordination mechanism for execution of the programme at the national level.
BOMCA Programme is financed by the European Union and implemented by the consortium of partners led by the Latvian State Border Service.
