Bodies of the Armed Forces of Uzbekistan carry out drills

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A final stage of the joint command and staff exercises among the security forces of the Armed Forces of Uzbekistan was held on 16-18 April.

During the day, combat training sessions were held in three places - near the borders of “Uzbekistan - Turkmenistan - Afghanistan”, “Uzbekistan - Tajikistan - Afghanistan” and on the “Hairaton” bridge.

The combat missions were conducted under the leadership of the First Deputy Minister of Defense - Chief of the General Staff Major-General P. Ergashev and Deputy Chairman of the State Security Service - Commander of the Border Troops Major-General R. Mirzayev.

According to the exercise scenario, measures were taken to prevent the illegal violation of the state border by a conditional adversary. Operational actions of the border guard units of the State Security Service organized a number of activities to prevent violations and at the same time to alert other components of the Armed Forces of the country.

Regional units of power structures were brought to the highest levels of combat readiness and joint actions prevented a conditional threat. Battle boats opened fire on the ground targets of the “enemy”.

Special units were delivered by helicopter of the Ministry of Defense to the area of conditional hostilities. Then the stage of cleaning the area was carried out.
