Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Some residents express fears on social networks that new buildings or a business center will appear on the site of the Gafur Ghulam park. We want to assure the public that these fears are groundless, the press service of the capital’s khokimiyat reports.
The decision was adopted to transfer the Gafur Gulyam recreation park in Tashkent to the foreign company BMP Smart Decision Private Limited for 49 years with investment obligations to modernize and create a modern park that meets international standards.
The park’s modernization project includes the replacement of old rides established in the 80s with new ones, as well as replenishment of the green zone with new trees - in addition to the trees already growing in the park, which have been inventoried by the State Committee for Ecology and Environmental Protection. Entrance to the park after the reconstruction will, as before, be free.
