BMB Holding and Kazakh Partners Discuss Expansion of Agricultural Exports
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 19 January, facilitated by the Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Uzbekistan, a videoconference was held between BMB HOLDING CEO Elyor Ibrokhimov and the heads of several Kazakh organizations to discuss expanding trade and economic cooperation.
The online meeting was attended by Ernur Zhautykbaev, Chairman of the Trade Committee under the Ministry of Trade and Integration of the Republic of Kazakhstan; Aitmukhammed Aldazharov, CEO of JSC QazTrade; and Kasymbek Malikov, Director of the joint enterprise UZKAZTRADE.
The discussions focused on increasing the volume of Uzbek products exported to the Kazakh market. Participants explored opportunities for implementing concrete, mutually beneficial agreements for the supply of agricultural products, including potatoes, carrots, cabbage, onions, and other vegetables grown in Uzbekistan.
Logistics, supply chain stability, and the ability to meet the demands of the Kazakh market were also discussed in detail.
Following the videoconference, which took place in a constructive and businesslike atmosphere, the parties agreed to prepare and subsequently sign an agreement on mutually beneficial cooperation in the agreed areas. This initiative is expected to provide an additional boost to bilateral trade and strengthen economic ties between Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan.
