Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- To date, more than US$60,000 has been raised as part of the Biz Uzbekistonga Befarq Emasmiz campaign, Dunyo reported.

The charity event is held on the initiative of the diplomatic missions of Uzbekistan and with the assistance of the diaspora organizations of Uzbeks in the United States and Canada. Funds are being raised to help the people of Uzbekistan overcome the effects of coronavirus, as well as those affected by natural disasters in Bukhara and Syrdarya.

Members of the American-Uzbek Chamber of Commerce, American partners from large business, financial and banking sectors were also involved in the action.

The proceeds are transferred to a special account of the Public Fund “Uzbekistan mer-shafqat va salomatlik”.
