Belarusian Automaker MAZ to Launch Joint Truck Assembly Plant in Uzbekistan
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A joint assembly plant for MAZ trucks will be established in Uzbekistan, the press service of the Minsk Automobile Plant reported.
The agreement to create a joint venture for assembling trucks was signed between JSC “MAZ,” the holding company of BELAVTOMAZ, and LLC “UzBelMotors.” The document was concluded during the official visit of a Belarusian government delegation to Uzbekistan, led by Alexander Turchin.
The agreement was signed by company executives Valery Ivankovich and Sherzod Talipov, who emphasized the strategic importance of this new phase of industrial cooperation between the two countries.
The signing took place following the fifth meeting of the Uzbek-Belarusian Business Council.
