Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) – On 27 October, the meeting of the Chairman of the Senate of the Republic of Uzbekistan Tanzila Narbaev with the delegation of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus headed by its chairman N.Kochanova took place.
During the meeting, the parties noted the high dynamics of bilateral relations in the economic, cultural, humanitarian and other fields, which is largely due to close and trusting contacts between the heads of state.
In particular, T. Narbayeva emphasized the special role that the parliaments of the two countries should play in the development of all priority areas of Uzbek-Belarusian cooperation, including in the economic sphere.
In turn, N. Kochanova noted that "Uzbekistan is a unique country that has been developing dynamically in all areas without exception, primarily in economic terms, in recent years."
She also noted the importance of the cultural and humanitarian component in bilateral relations, especially in the field of education, as well as the development of close cooperation between the youth parliaments of the two countries.
As a result of the meeting, an agreement was reached on signing a "Road Map" for cooperation between parliaments, intensifying interaction on organizing mutual parliamentary visits with the inclusion of representatives of women’s business circles in the delegations for holding bilateral business forums.
