Belarus and Uzbekistan Express Interest in Expanding Trade, Economic, and Investment Cooperation
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 27 January, as part of an official working visit to Tashkent, Deputy Prime Minister of Belarus Yuri Shuleiko met with Deputy Prime Minister of Uzbekistan Jamshid Khodjaev.
During the discussions, both sides noted the strong growth in bilateral trade. By the end of the first eleven months of 2025, the volume of trade between the two countries had increased by more than 30 percent compared to the same period in the previous year.
The meeting included a detailed review of ongoing Belarusian-Uzbek projects in industrial cooperation, agriculture, woodworking, and pharmaceuticals. The parties also explored promising areas for further expanding mutual trade and investment collaboration.
At the conclusion of the talks, both sides confirmed their shared interest in deepening mutually beneficial partnership and reaffirmed their commitment to actively supporting the implementation of planned joint projects in priority sectors.
