Behzod Musaev discusses cooperation with IOM and Swiss Ambassador
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The head of the Migration Agency, Behzod Musaev, held talks with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Swiss Confederation to Uzbekistan, Konstantin Obolensky, as well as representatives of the International Organization for Migration (IOM)—Serhan Aktoprak, Head of the IOM office in Kazakhstan and Coordinator of Missions in Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, and Turkmenistan, and Andrew Gray, Head of the IOM Mission in Uzbekistan.
The meeting focused on enhancing migration processes in Uzbekistan, which are being systematically modernized and aligned with international standards and requirements set by the IOM.
IOM representatives reaffirmed their commitment to cooperation, particularly in preparing Uzbek citizens before their departure for temporary work abroad and in developing the country’s migration policy strategy.
