Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) – On 23 January 2023, Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Bakhtiyor Saidov met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, who is in our country to attend a meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Economic Cooperation Organization.

The prospects for the further development of the Uzbek-Pakistani strategic partnership in order to effectively implement the agreements reached at the highest level were considered.

Issues of regional policy, including the situation in Afghanistan, were discussed.

The importance of the effective use of the existing potential for cooperation in the transport and communications sphere and the intensification of economic diplomacy was emphasized.

Bilawal Bhutto Zardari congratulated the Uzbek side on the successful chairmanship of the Economic Cooperation Organization.
