Bakhtiyor Saidov Holds Phone Call with Wang Yi on Development of Bilateral Relations

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 16 January, Uzbekistan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Bakhtiyor Saidov held a telephone conversation with Wang Yi, Member of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and Minister of Foreign Affairs of China.

The two sides exchanged views on the current state and future prospects of the comprehensive strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and China, and discussed key regional and international issues.

They noted the high level of political trust and the active dialogue at all levels, which has become the foundation for the dynamic development of bilateral relations.

During the conversation, particular attention was given to further expanding practical cooperation in strategically important areas. The sides emphasized that the 2026 agenda is expected to be intensive and promising for the continued development of the partnership.
