Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Bakhtiyor Rakhmonov was appointed as acting khokim of Tashkent on 16 January.

Bakhtiyor Rakhmonov was born in 1959 in Tashkent region.

In 1981 he graduated from the Kyiv Civil Engineering Institute, in 2000 - the Academy of State and Social Development under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

Since 2018, he has been the khokim of Almazar district of the city of Tashkent. From January 2021 he served as First Deputy Khokim of Tashkent for Architecture, Capital Construction and Development of Communications.
