Bakhtiyor Gulyamov becomes envoy of Uzbekistan to the US

According to the press service of the White House, new envoy of Uzbekistan to the United State Bakhtiyor Gulyamov handed over credentials to the US President Barack Obama on 18 July 2013.

At this post, Bakhtiyor Gulyamov replaced Ilkhom Nematov, who had headed diplomatic mission of Uzbekistan in Washington since 2010.

Prior to appointment, Gulyamov worked as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Uzbekistan to Belgium and head of the mission of Uzbekistan to the EU and NATO.
