Bakhrom Ashrafkhanov appointed as Uzbek envoy to Russia

Bakhrom Ashrafkhanov has been appointed to the post of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Uzbekistan to Russia.&

On 24 February 2016, Bakhrom Ashrafkhanov left Tashkent for Moscow (Russia), the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan said.

Prior to appointment, Ashrafkhanov worked Deputy Finance Minister – Head of the Treasury of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

Bakhrom Ashrafkhanov was born in Tashkent in 1969. He graduated Tashkent Economic University in 1993. In 1993-1994, he studied at Kentucky University (the United States).
