Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Thick fog and poor visibility have caused delays in the reception and release of aircraft at several international airports.

So, due to bad weather at the airport of destination, Uzbekistan Airways flight HY87 (Urgench-Ferghana) was delayed at the Urgench airport. The plane with 73 passengers was due to depart at 09:35 local time.

Due to low visibility - less than 25 meters, flights HY71 / 72, HY84 (Ferghana - Samarkand - Ferghana - Tashkent) were canceled. Also, the airport "Ferghana" could not accept the flight from St. Petersburg, and was redirected to "Tashkent". Uzbekistan Airways flights HY9628/9627 (Tashkent-Ferghana-Moscow) and HY081 (Tashkent-Ferghana) were rescheduled.

Supercooled fog (visibility - 300 meters) caused a delay of flight HY622 (Moscow - Andijan) at the airport of departure for several hours. The aircraft went into the holding area and will be redirected to an alternate airfield.

Also, due to bad weather conditions, a number of flights at the Namangan airport were postponed. Due to unstable weather, the airport is periodically forced to limit the reception and release of aircraft.
