Aziz Abdukhakimov congratulates the participants of the "Tashkent Day" Forum in Nagoya

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- In recent years, Uzbekistan and Japan have achieved great results in the development of mutual cooperation and on 19 December 2020, the grand opening of the Tashkent Day Forum took place in the city of Nagoya.

The opening of the Forum was attended by the mayor of the city of Nagoya, Mr. Kawamura Takashi and the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Uzbekistan to Japan, Gairat Fazylov.

In a video message to the Forum participants, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan Aziz Abdukhakimov noted that the official visit of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev to Japan in December 2019 was an important event on the way to further strengthening ties in the political, economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres, and also in the field of tourism.

The visit by the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev to the ancient and magnificent city of Nagoya, the visit of the mayor of the city of Nagoya, Mr. Kawamura Takashi to Tashkent in December 2019, became an additional impetus for development between our countries and the cities of Tashkent and Nagoya.

A significant step was the signing of the Partnership Agreement between the khokimiyat of Tashkent and the mayor’s office of Nagoya. The video message noted that since ancient times Uzbekistan has been the crossroads of world civilizations and the center of the Great Silk Road. The Japanese people love Uzbekistan, its historical centers such as Samarkand, Bukhara and Khorezm.

Caused by the coronavirus pandemic, Japanese tourists were unable to visit Uzbekistan this year. The government of Uzbekistan has introduced the system of sanitary and epidemiological safety “Uzbekistan. Safe travel GUARANTEED ".

Today, travel to Uzbekistan for Japanese tourists has become safe. In conclusion, the Deputy Prime Minister invited the guests of the Forum and residents of Japan to visit Uzbekistan and wished to successfully hold all the events of the First Forum "Tashkent Day" in the city of Nagoya
