Awarding ceremony of compatriot takes place in Japan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- During the trip of representatives of the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Japan to Nagoya on 25 February, a solemn presentation of the "Shukhrat" order to the executive director of the Uzbekistan-Nagoya Friendship Association Bunyodbek Ibragimov was organized.

Compatriot Bunyodbek Ibragimov was awarded the Shukhrat order on 25 August 2020 by the decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev for his great contribution to the development of Uzbek-Japanese strategic partnership relations and expansion of multifaceted cooperation, assistance in the implementation of priority social, infrastructure and investment projects with the participation of leading companies and organizations of Japan in our country, as well as cultural and humanitarian exchange programs.

Executive Director of the Uzbekistan-Nagoya Friendship Association B. Ibragimov actively participates in the implementation of projects carried out between the partner cities of Tashkent and Nagoya within the framework of the Agreement signed during a high-level visit to Japan in 2019.

In order to establish the supply of Uzbek products to the Japanese market, B. Ibragimov also founded the Global Silk Road Inc. The company is currently increasing the volume of imports of products from Uzbekistan.

During the event organized in the city hall of Nagoya, the mayor of the city T. Kawamura also took part, who congratulated our compatriot on the high state award and wished him great success in his work.

Welcoming the appointment of B. Ibragimov as the representative of Tashkent in Nagoya, the mayor confirmed his readiness to provide him with all-round assistance in establishing and developing activities.

In an interview with B. Ibragimov noted the following:

First of all, I would like to express my gratitude to our esteemed President Shavkat Mirziyoyev for conferring such a high award. I am very glad that the President of our country highly appreciated my modest activity. This, in turn, gives me greater confidence and responsibility.

The visit of our President to Japan in 2019, in particular to the city of Nagoya, and the Agreement on Cooperation between Tashkent and Nagoya signed during the visit, raised relations to a higher level and opened a new era in Uzbek-Japanese relations.

Currently, within the framework of this Agreement, partnerships are developing not only in the field of tourism and culture, but also in the economic direction. Nagoya’s business community is showing great interest in Uzbekistan. For example, on 27 February, we are planning to visit Uzbekistan with a delegation from among representatives of Japanese companies to hold talks with the involved departments of the republic.

I intend to continue to make every effort to further develop bilateral ties and implement mutually beneficial projects in Uzbekistan with the participation of Japanese companies. "
