Austrian Delegation Visits Namangan Region to Strengthen Cooperation in Medicine and Agriculture

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A delegation from the Republic of Austria, led by Trade Counselor Rudolf Lukawski from the Austrian Embassy, visited the Namangan region, where they were welcomed by the regional hokim, Shavkatjon Abdurazzoqov.

During the meeting, it was noted that in recent years, friendly relations between the Namangan region and Austria have actively developed, particularly in the field of medicine, with achieved results receiving high recognition.

Special attention was given to the participation of Austrian business representatives, including companies AME International GmbH, Fundermax GmbH, SZ-Kontakt Trans GmbH, and the agricultural cluster, in the delegation’s activities.

The parties discussed prospects for further cooperation in agriculture, healthcare, transport logistics, and export directions, as well as interaction with local entrepreneurs. Agreements were reached on continuing joint projects in the medical field, organizing the export of fruits from the region to European countries, establishing a livestock training center in Namangan, and providing advanced training for young farmers in Austria.

Additionally, cooperation with Namangan entrepreneurs in industry and investment activities was discussed.

Guests were shown a video about the international “Flower Festival” in Namangan and were invited to participate in the upcoming 65th anniversary event. Austrian representatives expressed interest in attending the festival and exploring its program.

The delegation is currently familiarizing itself with the region’s opportunities and prospects for further on-site cooperation.
