Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- AU has started to accept applications for the AU Part-Time Student (AUPSP) designed for 10th and 11th graders of secondary schools.

AUPSP gives a chance to  the 10th and 11th graders to be able to start their education at the university without leaving school. The program is focused on two years or four semesters.

Students admitted to AUPSP will study for two years based on the freshman year of the relevant AU program.The lessons of the program will be held in parallel with the school classes. That is, students will study at school in the first half of the day, and at the university in the afternoon.

The program is intended only for schoolchildren in Tashkent city and Tashkent region. The program graduates will be directly accepted to the university for the second year if they meet the Program Graduation Requirements.

Program Graduation Requirements:

To complete successfully all required courses

To obtain an overall GPA no less than 1.0 for no more than two semesters during the entire program.

To pass the final exam.

The students who successfully graduate from the AUPSP will have an opportunity to continue their studies as a sophomore student in one of the following Department & Schools:

Accounting & Finance

Architecture and Design

Applied Mathematics

Dental School

Economics

Digital Marketing

Entrepreneurship and Startup Management

International Business & Consulting

English Education

Hardware Engineering (IT)

Software Engineering (IT)

Medical School

School of Pharmacy

College of Nursing

Civil Engineering

Journalism

Law

The minimum requirements for the AUPSP admissions are as follows:

Applicant can apply for AUPSP if he/she has finished 9th or higher grade at school.

Applicant should have at least a pre-intermediate level of English.

To take the AUPSP entrance exam (on August 3) according to the chosen department as follows:

Exam subjects for Healthcare studies (Medical School, Dental School, School of Pharmacy): Math, Chemistry, Biology

Exam subject for other departments: Math

*100 points scale is applied for each exam subject (tests will be in English only) and the minimum passing score is 50% of a total score. 

Tuition Fee for AUPSP is 20 000 000 UZS per year.

The exam for this program will officially take place on August 3. Moreover, those who want to pass the exam in advance will have a chance to take the exam and receive the exam result immediately by visiting Akfa university every Thursday of the week from 14.00 to 17.00.
