Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A Presidential Resolution "On organizing the activities of the Institute of Legislation and Legal Policy under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan" (PP No. 462 of 12/29/2022) was adopted.

Institute of Legislation and Legal Policy in the form of a state expert research institution reporting to the President:

- carries out scientific, information and analytical support for the activities of the President in the formation and implementation of legal policy,

- monitors the implementation and evaluates the regulatory impact of legislative acts, develops proposals for their improvement;

The Institute is entrusted with conducting applied research in the following areas:

- study of legal problems of improving the system of public administration in the context of the implementation of administrative reform;

- development of political and legal priorities for constitutional reform and mechanisms for its implementation (public administration, development of civil society);

- implementation of the Smart Regulation project by optimizing the system for assessing the regulatory impact of regulatory legal acts at the stage of their development and implementation;

- study of organizational and legal problems of combating corruption.

In order to coordinate the fundamental and applied research carried out by the Institute, the Scientific and Coordinating Council is established at the Institute.
