Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 30 May 2025, Astana will host the inaugural summit in the "Central Asia – Italy" format.

The event will focus on a wide range of pressing issues related to cooperation between the countries of the region and the Italian Republic.

Particular attention will be given to political collaboration, the expansion of trade, economic and investment ties, as well as the development of partnerships in culture, education, and humanitarian exchange.

It is worth noting that the summit will be preceded by an official visit of Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni to Uzbekistan, scheduled for 28–29 May.

High-level negotiations and bilateral meetings are set to take place in Samarkand.
