Associated Petroleum Gas Utilization Project Launched in Navoi Region
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Saneg, together with its strategic partner VEMA Carbon (Switzerland), has implemented a project for the utilization of associated petroleum gas (APG) at the Shurchi oil treatment facility in the Navoi region.
The newly launched infrastructure enables the daily processing of 20,000 to 25,000 m³ of gas, improving the enterprise’s energy efficiency and reducing carbon dioxide emissions into the atmosphere.
As part of the project, a modular compressor unit (MCU) was built, comprising seven ZWF 0.36/6-0.42 compressor systems and one Ariel JCG/2 unit.
To transport the processed gas, a three-kilometer pipeline was laid to the Akdjar Gathering Station, ensuring a stable supply of raw material for further processing and utilization.
All stages — from design to commissioning — were carried out using modern engineering solutions and in strict compliance with industrial and environmental safety standards.
The total investment volume amounted to around US$1.5 million.
The project was initiated by Saneg’s Department for Strategic Projects and Scientific and Technical Development. Its implementation was the result of close cooperation between the company’s engineering and production divisions and its partners from VEMA Carbon, who introduced advanced carbon management and environmental monitoring technologies.
“This project is part of Saneg’s consistent ESG strategy aimed at reducing the company’s carbon footprint and promoting sustainable development of the country’s oil and gas sector. In the near future, we plan to increase daily gas processing volumes to 50,000 m³ by connecting additional wells,” — said Tulkin Yusupov, Chief Executive Officer of Saneg.
