Art and Culture Development Foundation of Uzbekistan Discusses Joint Art and Film Projects with Advisor to the French President
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Gayané Umerova, Chairperson of the Art and Culture Development Foundation of Uzbekistan, held a meeting with Catherine Pégard, Advisor to the President of France on Culture at the Élysée Palace, to discuss the development of cultural and humanitarian cooperation between the two countries.
During the discussion, both sides emphasized the strategic nature of their partnership in the cultural sphere, which encompasses exhibition projects, research initiatives, educational programs, and exchanges of expertise.
Special attention was given to the implementation of the 2024–2026 Cultural Cooperation Program, engagement with the French National Institute of Heritage (INP), and prospects for collaboration in the field of cinema with leading French institutions.
Architectural and museum projects involving French partners were also discussed, including the development of the Tashkent Center for Contemporary Art, created with the participation of Studio KO, cooperation with Versailles, and the preparation of major exhibition projects in France, particularly at the Institut du Monde Arabe.
The meeting confirmed the mutual interest of both parties in deepening bilateral cultural engagement.
