Around 300 counterfeit products identified on Uzbekistan’s largest online platforms
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A monitoring of activities on Uzbekistan’s leading online platforms Uzum Market, Olcha, and Glotr has revealed approximately 300 counterfeit product items, the Ministry of Justice reported.
The highest number of counterfeit goods — about 220 — were detected on Uzum Market. Meanwhile, Olcha and Glotr platforms accounted for around 50 items violating intellectual property rights.
Most of the counterfeit products fell within the categories of clothing, cosmetics, and household appliances. These goods, openly sold, bore logos of well-known global brands such as Puma, Lacoste, Adidas, Chanel, Gucci, Samsung, Bosch, and others.
Following complaints from rights holders, some of the infringing items have already been removed from the Uzum Market platform. Information regarding other cases has been forwarded to brand representatives, and appropriate actions will be taken upon receiving official responses.
