Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Servicemen who defended the honor of Uzbekistan in the “Sayan March” competition as part of the International Army Games were solemnly met at Tashkent International Airport named after Islam Karimov.
The head of the Main Directorate of Combat Training of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Colonel Rakhmatullo Rakhmonov and other participants noted that Uzbekistan pays special attention to further increasing the power of the national army and improving the combat training of the military personnel, achieving high results of their performances at prestigious international competitions.
In the competition, which took place for several days in Russia, the honor of their countries – Uzbekistan, China, Russia, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Iran, Abkhazia and South Ossetia was defended by 9 teams. This has been reported by the Department of Information and Mass Communications of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
According to the Regulations of the competition, the teams overcame a 50-kilometer route in a hard-to-reach mountainous area and with great professionalism fulfilled the standards for 12 conditions of the competition. Each participant was required not only to demonstrate their skills as a specialist, but also to show combat and physical training. It was not easy for our compatriots, as well as for other teams, in terms of the speed and accuracy of fulfilling the conditions.
Following the event, the national team of the Russian Federation became the winner, the Chinese team took second place, and the servicemen of Uzbekistan took third place. The winners were awarded medals and memorable gifts of the International Army Games.
