Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The prestigious international military competition of the year Vll International Army Games has ended. The team of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Uzbekistan also took a worthy part in the games and demonstrated historical results.

Yesterday, on 4 September, in the Patriot Park, located in Moscow region of the Russian Federation, the closing ceremony of this prestigious international competition took place. The ceremony was attended by members of the national teams, representatives of the military delegations of the participating countries, and members of the media.

Having taken part in the International Army Games ARMI-2021, which took place from 22 August to 4 September 2021, the servicemen of our national army were able to once again adequately and fully demonstrate the power and potential of our country.

277 teams from 42 countries of the world took part in the competitions, which took place on the territory of 11 countries, in other words, more than 5,000 servicemen tested their knowledge and skills. It should be especially noted that the national teams of the Republic of Uzbekistan took a worthy part in 24 competitions of the International Games.

According to the final results of the games, our servicemen were able to win 4 gold, 9 silver, 4 bronze medals and in the overall team competition they took the honorable 2nd place after the organizers of the competition.

In particular, 1 gold medal was won by:

men’s team of the competition "Faithful friend";

women’s team of the competition "Faithful friend";

team in the "Military Medical Relay";

team that took part in the "Field Kitchen" competition.

Domestic teams participating in the following competitions won silver medals:

Elbrus Ring;

"Sniper Frontier";

Equestrian Marathon;

"Master gunsmith";

Safe Environment;

"Engineering Formula";

Safe Route;

"Polar Star";

"Excellence in military intelligence."

Also, in an uncompromising struggle, members of our teams were able to win bronze medals in the following competitions:

"Master of armored vehicles";

"Confident welcome";

"Highway Patrol";

Sayan March.

It is worth emphasizing that during the current games, 37 records were set by its participants, 10 of which belong to the representatives of the Republic of Uzbekistan. 6 records were set by representatives of the People’s Republic of China, 2 records each were recorded by representatives of the Republic of Belarus and India.

In particular, during the "Military Medical Relay" competition, the members of our team set 3 records.

Members of the national team that took part in the Elbrus Ring competition, which took place in a sharp and uncompromising struggle, also defended the honor of the country. Junior sergeants Sanzhar Tukliev, Abdumukhtor Abduganiev and Azimjon Ibragimov completed the task of “overcoming the mountainous obstacle course” in 12 minutes 58 seconds and set a record of games, and during the task “overcoming the icy area” representatives of our team were in the lead. Our servicemen completed this task in 11 minutes 37 seconds and continued the record streak of national teams.

During the task "Overcoming a 300 m obstacle course with a service dog" of the "Faithful friend" competition, a member of the national team of Uzbekistan, sergeant Ulugbek Nurullaev, showed a result of 1 minute 13 seconds and set a game record.

During the exercise "Shooting with a change of aiming point" of the "Individual test" task of the "Sniper Frontier" competition, junior sergeant Fazliddin Kirgizov showed a result of 15 minutes 6 seconds and set a new game record.

Observing the achievements of our servicemen, we are once again convinced that the large-scale reforms carried out today in the national army are yielding results. Our servicemen have once again adequately defended the honor of the country in the international arena, raised the State flag of the country high and justified the high confidence placed in them. The successes they have achieved today are a truly historic event. A series of records and won medals have become a worthy gift for the 30th anniversary of the independence of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
