Applicants from the CIS can enroll in Russian universities for free until 25 November

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Acceptance of documents for admission to universities for applicants from the CIS has been extended from 1 to 25 November. The extension of the admission campaign is associated with difficulties in admission due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Acceptance of documents for free education in Russian universities for undergraduate, specialist, graduate, residency and postgraduate programs has been extended. This was reported by the press service of the CIS Executive Committee.

“You can apply for a quota online, at education-in-russia.com,” said Pavel Shevtsov, deputy head of the agency.

He noted that online submission of documents is convenient because applicants do not need to travel anywhere specifically in the context of a pandemic and restrictions. However, in some regions of the CIS countries there are problems with access to the Internet, “so that applicants can easily arrange everything, the agency meets them halfway” and extends the acceptance of applications, Shevtsov said.

The quota is 23 thousand places, mainly for young people from the CIS countries.

Rossotrudnichestvo clarified that most applications come from applicants from Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan, Belarus and Uzbekistan. Most often, young people want to study for free under the bachelor’s program.
