Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The parliamentary commission to investigate the events of 1-2 July in Nukus (Karakalpakstan) has formed the third list of accused who have repented of their deeds and have difficult social conditions. This was reported by the press service of the Commissioner for Human Rights (Ombudsman).
At the suggestion of the members of the commission and the petition of the Jokargy Kenes of Karakalpakstan, on 1 November, the Prosecutor General’s Office released 35 more accused to their families on the basis of public guarantee.
The total number of accused returned to their families reached 107 people. In August, 34 people were released and in October - 38 people.
