Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A Law “On Amendments and Additions to Certain Legislative Acts of the Republic of Uzbekistan” was signed by the President of Uzbekistan.
The law establishes several new types of criminal liability in the Criminal Code.

It has been established that cruelty to animals, that is, torturing them or causing them suffering from mercenary or other base motives, resulting in their death or injury, committed after the application of an administrative penalty for the same actions, is punishable by a fine of 12 million 250 thousand soums to imprisonment for up to 6 months.
Also, illegal manufacture, processing, acquisition, storage, transportation or shipment for the purpose of marketing, as well as illegal sale of potent or poisonous substances that are not narcotic drugs, their analogues or psychotropic substances, or the manufacture, acquisition, storage, transportation, shipment for the purpose of sale or sale of equipment for their manufacture or processing, is punishable by imprisonment for up to 5 years.
