Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 24 July, in Tashkent, the director of the Center for Economic Research and Reforms (CERR) Obid Khakimov met with the project manager of the analytical center “Diplomatic World Institute” Alberto Turkstra. The meeting was organized with the assistance of the Embassy of the Republic of Uzbekistan in the Benelux countries.
Welcoming the guests, Obid Khakimov spoke about the main goals and objectives of the CERR, the research conducted and the activities of the Government Accelerator of socio-economic reforms.
During the meeting, the parties discussed in detail the large-scale transformations being carried out in Uzbekistan today, the updated foreign policy of the state in the world arena, including in Central and South Asia, considered the current state and prospects for further development of cooperation.
Turkstra noted that he supports the reforms carried out by the leadership of our country. He said that he is well aware of the situation in Central Asia, incl. Uzbekistan. The expert stressed that the latest changes and reforms being implemented in Uzbekistan to improve public administration are very important and timely.
Following the meeting, a preliminary agreement was reached on establishing close cooperation between the two research centers.
