Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Active measures taken by the leadership of Uzbekistan to mitigate the effects of the global pandemic of the new type of coronavirus COVID-19 are of interest to foreign media, Dunyo news agency reported.

It is emphasized that 2.25 trillion soums from the Anti-Crisis Fund and US$500 million from the funds of international financial institutions were sent to fight against coronavirus in Uzbekistan. At the same time, the Turkish media emphasizes that over 66 percent of patients with coronavirus in Uzbekistan have fully recovered, and 83 percent of quarantined patients have already returned home. The Anatolian News Agency reports that the country's leadership has taken all necessary measures to treat 740 patients remaining in hospitals, restore their health and return them to their families.

It provides the words of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev that “in many countries, citizens of Uzbekistan have remained. Based on our capabilities, we should still return them. Already started to do it. The agency also notes that currently 45 thousand people are quarantined in Uzbekistan. It is emphasized that many of those who returned to their homeland from other states on charter flights were infected with a coronavirus. In this regard, the need is expressed for taking precautionary measures when returning new groups of compatriots from foreign countries.
