Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A Presidential resolution “On measures to effectively organize the activities of the republican executive bodies within the framework of the administrative reforms of New Uzbekistan” was adopted.

In accordance with the resolution, in order to increase the responsibility of the republican executive authorities and their territorial divisions, the functional boundaries of links at the republican and local levels have been established.

From 1 January 2023:

heads of republican executive bodies and their deputies are prohibited from simultaneously performing the duties of heads of economic management bodies;

the practice of vesting associations and other economic associations with the powers of state power and appointing their leaders to positions by resolutions of the Cabinet of Ministers is cancelled.

Taking into account the fact that about 5,000 functions of all republican executive bodies were rewritten, about 500 recurring ones were identified that have lost their significance and are not provided with mechanisms for the implementation of functions, an open register of the functions of republican and territorial executive bodies will be formed, and the practice of its permanent maintenance will be established.

The activity of the automated online information system “State Functions” will be established, which will allow maintaining a unified register of functions in electronic form.

According to the resolution, from 1 January 2023, as an experiment, the system of the Ministry of Justice will introduce the practice of adopting and publishing departmental orders, resolutions and orders through the E-qaror electronic system.
