Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- In order to manage the implementation of the internal departmental measures on Combatting corruption approved by sections 1-3 of the State Anti-Corruption Program for 2019-2020, approved by the Presidential decree No.PF-5729 of May 27, 2019, according to the Section 14 of the action plan for 2020 by Training center under the Ministry of Finance, developed on the basis of the letter No.19/10a-19 of Jul 31, 2020 by an interdepartmental commission of the Republic, Bureau of Research and Development is to organize a training on corruption and its negative consequences with the involvement of experts from Public offices, organizations and their regional offices. 

In this regard, the Training Center under the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Uzbekistan in cooperation with the Prosecutor General’s Academy of the Republic of Uzbekistan organized a webinar on 15 September 2020 on "Prevention of corruption, its causes and consequences" (via Zoom). 

Staff from the central office of the Ministry of Finance and all departments attended the seminar.

Iroda Gafurovna Khamidova, Director of the Training Center, opened the online seminar with an introductory speech and gave the floor to Bahodir Islamovich Ismailov, Doctor of Law, Head of the Anti-Corruption Research and Education Center of the Prosecutor General’s Academy.

In this online seminar, the speaker presented the main directions of the State Policy of the Republic of Uzbekistan on Combating Corruption, as well as the factors that determine corruption and its causes; state anti-corruption programs and other programs; Comments on the Law of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan "On Combating Corruption"; On the state program to combat corruption in 2019-2020, its requirements; on administrative measures to combat corruption on the example of a comparison of Uzbekistan and other countries; Several aspects of the state policy of the Republic of Uzbekistan on combating corruption; as well as information on the experience of Uzbekistan and the world in the prevention of corruption, the level of development of the anti-corruption system in Uzbekistan, both theoretical and practical approaches.

At the end of the seminar, professors and participants of the training center asked questions and made suggestions to the speaker on the topic.
