Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Concept of the Samarkand Forum on Human Rights and the regulations for holding this forum were approved by the Government resolution.
The main goal of the Samarkand Forum for Human Rights (Samarkand Forum) is to identify and eliminate existing problems through the exchange of international experience in the field of human rights, to further enhance the positive international image of Uzbekistan in this area.
The Samarkand Forum is held every two years in October-November of the year or at other times at the suggestion of the Organizing Committee for the Forum.
The working body of the Samarkand Forum is the National Center of the Republic of Uzbekistan for Human Rights.
The Forum will be attended by UN structural units, international and regional human rights organizations, national institutions, parliaments, judicial and law enforcement agencies, representatives of civil society institutions, international and local experts, scientists, industry experts, journalists and other members of the public.
