Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 15 July, an international conference was held at the Imam Al-Bukhari Memorial Complex on the topic - Ancient and rare handwritten copies of the work “Sahihul Bukhoriy” stored in libraries around the world, the press service of the international research center of Imam Bukhari.

The event was attended by about forty famous Islamists, religious scholars and specialists from foreign countries, such as Turkey, Egypt, Malaysia, Saudi Arabia, Great Britain, Germany, Russia, Kazakhstan. At the opening of the conference, they spoke about the importance of studying the heritage of Imam Bukhari by authoritative foreign experts and scientists, the current state and tasks for the future of study stored in the world collections of the scientist's works, as well as the reforms carried out in Uzbekistan in the religious and educational sphere.

At the beginning of the conference, a presentation was made on rare handwritten copies of the work "Sahihul Bukhari". Then the conference continued its work, dividing into subgroups. Scientific reports of the participants were heard on the following topics: ancient and rare handwritten copies of the work "Sahihul Bukhoriy" stored in libraries of the world, the scientific heritage and modernity of Imam Bukhari, the contribution of Maverannahr scientists to the development of Islamic civilization.

“The works of the scientist still serve as a spiritual and moral guideline for the Muslim world. I am sure that today's conference will serve to further develop interest in the history of Imam al-Bukhari, his unique works, as well as the development of pilgrim tourism in this place,” said Deputy Minister of Tourism and Sports Utkir Saidov.

The participants also noted the fruitful activities of the International Research Center of Imam Bukhari as evidence of the religious reforms carried out in our country related to the study of the huge scientific heritage of Imam Bukhari and many other scientists, the publication of scientific-explanatory and comparative texts of works created by them.

At the press conference, the participants exchanged comprehensive views, highlighted the need for further development of cooperation, as well as the organization of such events. They noted that the center of Imam Bukhari has risen to the status of a leading scientific institution in the international arena.
