Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A Government resolution “On measures to further improve the procedures for recording acts of civil status” was adopted.

According to the resolution, from 1 January 2023 in Tashkent, and from 1 June 2023, the procedure for registering births in the departments of civil registration through medical institutions will be introduced throughout the republic.

Medical institutions issue a certificate with a QR code stating that the status of birth is recorded in the registry office, and this certificate is equated to a stamp birth certificate, refusal to accept it by state bodies and organizations is prohibited.

A legal experiment is being carried out to accept applications for registration of marriage and divorce through district (city) centers of public services in Syrdarya region. The legal experiment runs from 1 November  2022 to 1 July 2023.

Accordingly, the resolution approved the temporary administrative Regulations on the procedure for accepting applications through the Public Service Centers for registering the conclusion and dissolution of marriage.

The procedure for notifying the assembly of citizens of the mahalla at the place of residence of persons entering into marriage on the submission of an application for marriage has been cancelled.
