Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 30 March, in Tunxi (PRC), "on the sidelines" of the meeting of the Third Conference of Foreign Ministers of Afghanistan’s Neighboring Countries, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Sergei Lavrov held talks with the Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Investments and Foreign Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan Sardor Umurzakov.
An exchange of views took place on topical issues of Russian-Uzbek cooperation, international and regional agendas. The situation in Afghanistan and additional measures to strengthen stability and security in the region were considered in detail.
Lavrov informed Umurzakov about the special military operation for the demilitarization and denazification of Ukraine, as well as about the course of the negotiation process between the Russian and Ukrainian delegations.
The intention to expand mutually beneficial cooperation between the two countries, maintain the high dynamics of the Russian-Uzbek strategic partnership and alliance was confirmed.
