Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A road traffic incident occurred this afternoon in the Rishtan district of Ferghana Region when a Malibu 2 passenger car, driven by its operator, veered off the roadway and plunged into the Katta Ferghana irrigation canal.

According to the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the alarm was raised at 15:40, prompting the dispatch of rescue teams to the scene.

Specialists from the Ministry, supported by affiliated agencies, employed specialized equipment and machinery to recover the vehicle from the water.

Preliminary reports indicate that, fortunately, no one was injured in the accident. An official investigation is currently under way to establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident.
