Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Officers of the criminal investigation department of the Department of Internal Affairs of Yangikhayot district of Tashkent city during operational search activities identified and detained a group of people involved in the sale of synthetic drugs.

During the check it was established that 46-year-old V.G., 21-year-old A.K., 25-year-old K.M., 21-year-old A.Kh., 20-year-old Kh.G. organized a brothel for the consumption and distribution of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances by means of bookmarks. A synthetic narcotic substance weighing 0.08 grams was found and seized in one of these tabs.

On this fact, a criminal case was initiated under part 5 of Article 273 ("Illegal manufacture, acquisition, storage and other actions with narcotic drugs, their analogues or psychotropic substances for the purpose of sale") of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

Also, officers of law enforcement agencies checked a previously convicted 41-year-old R.B., who was found and seized as material evidence a synthetic drug weighing 25.97 grams, packaged in 15 rubber "bags".

On this fact, a criminal case was initiated under article 276 ("Illegal manufacture, acquisition, storage and other actions with narcotic drugs, their analogues or psychotropic substances without the purpose of sale") of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
