An annual educational campaign “Total dictation” takes place in Tashkent for everyone

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 13 April 2019, Total Dictation took place at the site of the Almalyk branch of the National Research Technological University "MISIS". Anyone who was registered on the Total Dictation website could take part in the campaign.

In total, about 200 people gathered in the branch’s audiences to check their knowledge of the Russian language. On this day, the Almalyk branch of the National Research Technological University brought together students from schools, lyceums, colleges, students, workers, teachers and just retirees. Leading philologists were invited as dictators (reading the text for dictation) - teachers of the Russian language in educational institutions of the city of Almalyk.

The high level of technical equipment of AF NITU "MISiS" allowed to hold this event at the proper level, in compliance with all requirements.

It should be noted that total dictation is an annual educational campaign in the form of voluntary dictation for everyone. Total dictation - a public project, which is carried out by activists and volunteers. The organizer of the action is the Total Dictation Foundation (Novosibirsk). A unique writer creates a unique text of the dictation every year specifically for the action. Anyone can participate in the Total Dictation, regardless of age, gender, education, religion, profession, marital status, interests and political views.

The goal of the action is to show that being literate is important for every person; to convince that studying Russian is not easy, but exciting and useful; to unite everyone who knows how or wants to write and speak Russian.
