Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A large-scale festival was held in London, combining at once the III ECG Film Festival (ECG FF) and V Romford FIlm Festival.
For three years now, ECG Film Festival has been contributing to the development and promotion of the culture of the Eurasian countries abroad. This year, 60 applications were submitted, of which 2 are films from Uzbekistan. One of them became the winner of the film festival!
The audience choice award was won by the animated film “A Steppe Tale”, directed by Galina Vinogradova.
The cartoon was created with the support of Penguin Club, Disney-Canada and the project “Integration of principles of biodiversity conservation in the oil and gas sector of Uzbekistan”, implemented by the United Nations Development Program, the Global Environment Facility and the State Committee for Environmental Protection.
“A worthwhile film and a pleasure to see the animation created by children - a great story and storytelling,” commented Tim Wilson, an English animator, theater designer and director.
The awards ceremony took place on June 28, 2021 at the Premier Cinema Romford.
The guests of honor of the festival were the mayor of Romford - John Mylod, representatives of local authorities, the embassies of Russia, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan, actors Sean Cronin and James Peyton, as well as journalists from Kazakhstan, Russia and the UK.
Among the films of the Eurasian Film Festival, works from such countries as Russia, Belarus, the Republic of Crimea, Ukraine, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, France, Portugal, China and Turkey were presented. Due to the fact that the ECG Film Festival is being held in conjunction with the Romford Film Festival, the cinema has attracted a large number of interested professional audiences and the independent press.
