American Film Festival to be held in Tashkent

The embassy said that the films will be demonstrated in English with English and Russian subtitles. The film festival will be held at the Council of Friendship Societies of Uzbekistan with foreign countries.

Seven films will be demonstrated at the festival. The festival will demonstrate such films as “The Proposal” (comedy, 19 October), “Music in my heart” (musical, 20 October), “God grew tired of us: the story of lost boys of Sudan” (documentary, 20 October), “My big fat Greek wedding” (comedy, 20 October”, “The American tail” (animation, 21 October), “Everything is illuminated” (comedy, 21 October) and “Gran Torino” (drama, 21 October).

The American Film Festival became an annual event in 2008.
