Tashkent, Uzbekistab (UzDaily.com) -- Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Austria Abat Fayzullayev has presented his credentials to the IAEA Director General Rafael Mariano Grossi as Permanent Representative to the Agency, Dunyo news agency reported.

The IAEA Director General expressed his readiness to provide assistance in supporting all spheres of activity in the process of building a nuclear power plant in Uzbekistan.

He drew attention to the fact that much has been done in Uzbekistan in nuclear and radiation safety of facilities, there is significant success in cooperation in healthcare and the possibility of even broader cooperation in application of nuclear science and technology, especially in agriculture of the country.

Mutual confidence was expressed in the mandatory implementation of a number of joint activities, postponed due to the pandemic.
