Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Uzbekistan Alisher Kurmanov presented his credentials to President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky at the Mariinsky Palace on 11 December, Dunyo news agency reported.
Taking into account the epidemiological situation, the ceremony was limited to the presentation of certificates and the subsequent general speech of the President of Ukraine.
In his speech of the Ukrainian leader, it was noted that Uzbekistan is an important partner of Ukraine in Central Asia and the parties are striving to build up bilateral trade and economic relations and bring trade turnover up to US$1 billion.
