Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 1 June 2021, the Ambassador of the Republic of Uzbekistan to the Republic of Iraq, with his residence in Kuwait, Bahrom Aloyev, presented his credentials to the President of the Republic of Iraq Barham Saleh. This was reported by the press service of the Uzbek Foreign Ministry.
During the conversation, President Barham Saleh expressed his gratitude to President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev for the appointment of the first Ambassador to the country.
It was underlined that this decision will contribute to the expansion and strengthening of Uzbek-Iraqi relations. The importance of enhancing political dialogue, trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian cooperation was noted.
